W: Hello.
M: Hello, is this John Smith’s home
W: Yes, it is, but he is out right now. Would you like to leave a message
M: Well, I really don’t know what I should do. I can’t ask him to call me back because I’m calling from a friend’s.
W: Well, then, why don’t you try his office I think he’s there now.
M: Yes, I guess I could do that.

M: Thank you so much for your help.
W: You’re welcome. Goodbye and good luck.

John was annoyed because he had to search for his newspaper each morning after the paperboy threw it. Often he would find it, covered with dust and mud, under the car in the driveway. One can never be happy when in the newspaper all one can read is nothing but dust and mud. But one day the paperboy’s mother mentioned that her son’s ambition was to play professional basketball and that he dreamed to be a great player like Michael Jordan. John had an idea.
When he got home, he attached a basketball hoop to a post on the front porch. Sure enough, the next morning there was a resounding "plunge" as the newspaper sailed through the hoop and landed by the door.
