W: Could I borrow a pen from you Mine has just run out of ink.
M: I’m afraid I don’t have an extra one. Would a pencil do
W: Could I borrow a pen from you There’s no ink left in mine.
M: I’m afraid I don’ t have an extra one. Would a pencil be OK
M: Good morning. Can I help you
W: Yes. I bought this blouse here last week. But there seems to be something wrong with it.
W: I like that picture you put up on the wall yesterday.
M: Oh, thank you. It’s a photograph that I took on my vacation last year.
W: You took it yourself I didn’t know you were a photographer.
M: Oh, yes, I’ve been taking pictures for years.
W: It sounds interesting. Do you have any more of your pictures here And may I see them
M: Yes, certainly. Some of them are faces, just faces of people whom I see when I’m walking around.
W: Do you let them know that you’re taking pictures of them
M: I try not to. I don’t like pictures of people who set themselves for the camera. I like people who are going about their business without knowing the camera’s there.
W: I suppose you need a lot of equipment. How many cameras do you have
M: Well, I have a dozen of them, but I use two of them more than the others.
One day I was visiting one of my friends in a big town. Suddenly a piece of beautiful music came to my ears. My friend’s father quickly picked up some rubbish and went outside. I asked my friend, “What’s happening” My friend said that there was a truck collecting rubbish outside.
“Whenever someone throws in some rubbish, it produces a piece of music. As soon as other people hear it, they go out with their rubbish and throw it in.”
“It’s a pleasant way to help keep our city clean,” said my friend.
Taking care of our environment is very important. Wherever you live, you can do something around your neighborhood.
Have you ever thrown any litter onto the ground Have you ever drawn pictures on the public walls Have you ever spat in a public place Have you ever cut down trees If your answers are “No”, it mean
