In China，due to the conventional education system，college candidates have to decide OD their major a few days after the Entrance E．xamination for college，with advices from concerned parents and high school teachers．It is a little too early in my way of thinking as a serious decision for a 17 or sotomake． Friends of mine--college survivors，admitted their ignorance of the future majors back then though they’d made the choice．First thing on their mind was to fill out the application forms by the date of submission，which made the difference between majors like Heat Energy&Power Engineering and Heat&Electrical Engineering less important，plus there must be chances to transform to other fields even after leaving school．There were many others who took the decision really serious；they spent days on searching information about the available subjects，and asking those who’d been there for advices．but this didn’t always 1ead to a successful choice，six-year middle school experience might has focus their sights completely on the entrance examination，and working adults tended to talk the college candidates into hot majors，such as international trade， business administration though they had no right to decide on other’s choice． A relatively mature attitude should be formed when it comes to making life choice，to stop hasty decisions made in the Black July each year．It iS more reasonable for the candidates to decide on their maj or while enrolled in college where there are professional advisers who know about all the academic programs and are dedicated to helping students，and when you have some real idea for your future career．
