Some people are bored with sightseeing trips. They don’t want to be "tourists". They want to have an adventure, to learn something and maybe help people too. How can they do this Some travel companies and environmental groups are planning special adventures. Sometimes these trips are difficult and full of hardships, but they’re a lot of fun. In 1902 an important step was taken. The government said that half of the side that was used for the address on the postcard could be used for message, and the whole of the other side could be used for a picture. It was then the simple postcard, as we know, was created.
