Chemists have been studying why people cry. They say the body produces two kinds of tears. One kind cleans out the eye if it gets dirt in it. But when people cry because of their feelings, these tears have poison chemicals in them. The body is getting rid of chemicals produced by strong feeling.
In the United States men have heart diseases more often than women do. Doctors say heart disease and some other diseases are related to the pressures of living and working in a modern society. Perhaps men suffer more from these diseases because they do not cry enough. And it is possible that as more and more women work outside the home, they will also suffer from more pressure. Then everyone will need to cry more.

This is Bob Smith from BBC. I’m at the scene of a miraculous rescue that occurred earlier today involving a fire, a 3 - month - baby, and the baby’s dog. Luckily, the fire broke out at the three - story building behind me. Unfortunately, we’re not able to get any closer because of the possibility of an explosion. However, witnesses say that they noticed of fire coming from the building earlier this morning.
It was believed that everyone had been evacuated to safety; however, one of the residents, Susan O’ Connor, when she had returned and noticed the fire, she panicked, realizing that her 3 - month - old baby was still inside. However, witnesses report seeing the dog, the family dog, pulling the baby to safety by the baby’s clothes.
Fortunately, everyone is reported fine. The baby was taken to the hospital, as well as the dog, but we’re happy to say that at this time, it looks like everyone will be fine.
