Bridge Repair Work Delayed The Minister for Infrastructure, Barry Smeltz, announced today that work on the Norwell Bridge will not start until March 18. The repair work was originally scheduled for December. However, the minister said that the construction contractor advised him that severe winter weather would make the work extremely difficult. Instead, the contractor suggested that it would be better to wait for icy and snowy conditions of mid-winter to pass before beginning the work.
