    现拟在露天铁矿开采基础上续建铜硫矿采选工程，设计采选规模为3.0×10⁶t/a，采矿生产工艺流程为剥离、凿岩、爆破、铲装、运输，矿山采剥总量为2.6×10⁷t/a，采矿排土依托现有排场。新建废水处理站处理采场涌水，选矿生产工艺流程为破碎、磨矿、筛分、浮选、精矿脱水，选厂建设尾矿库并配套回用水、排水处理设施，其他公辅设施依托现有工程。尾矿库位于选厂东侧一盲沟内，设计使用年限30年，工程地质条件符合环境保护要求。
    续建工程采、选矿排水均进入A河。采矿排水进入A河的位置不变，选矿排水口位于现有排放口下游3500m处进入A河。
    在A河设有三个水质监测断面，1^#断面位于现有工程排水口上游1000m，2^#断面位于现有工程排水口下游1000m，3^#断面位于现有工程排水口下游5000m，1^#、3^#断面水质监测因子全部达标。2^#断面铅、铜、锌、镉均超标。土壤现状监测结果表明：铁矿采区周边表层土壤中铜、铅、镉超标。采场剥离物，铁矿选矿废石的浸出毒性试验结果表明：浸出液中危险物质浓度低于危险废物鉴别标准。
    矿区周边有2个自然村庄，甲村位于A河1^#断面上游，乙村位于A河3^#断面下游附近。
