| Thurgood Marshall is one of the most

He was born on July 2, 1908 in Baltimore, Maryland, to a dining room steward and

graduation from college, he entered Howard University Law School and graduated
with honors at the age of twenty-five. Marshall began his law career in Baltimore and represented the poor and the weak in legal matters. The NAACP became aware of his legal abilities and asked him to join their staff.
