A new poll shows that people believe that computers and the Internet have made life better for Americans, but people also see some dangers in the trend toward computerization.
The poll found that the public favors some government protection from cyber-problems (网络问题), but in general people are not especially concerned about issues such as information overload or the never-ending flow of phone calls, faxes and e-mails. A separate survey of children aged 10-17 shows that they have a more positive attitude about computers than adults do, and most have made use of up-to-date technology in their schools.
